The R+Co brand was born from a think-tank of top editorial and salon stylists and educators; a kind of “supergroup” of hairdressing that has come together to make a super line of products and share the collective knowledge garnered over a combined century of hairdressing.

The R+Co collection is packed with one-of-a-kind category killers that enhance the hairdresser-client relationship clients are able to actually replicate what happens in the chair when they get home. Included in the line is every key product in a full styling kit. And each product embodies experimentation, design, artistry, passion and curiosity.

At R+Co, each product is developed with a stylist from the collective, led by legendary stylists Garren, Thom Priano and Howard McLaren, the person whose signature style lends itself to what that particular product needs to do.

All products are treatment-oriented, with the health of the hair and scalp top-of-mind. They use unique ingredients and complexes to make sure each product delivers true benefits. And everything is formulated without parabens, sulphates (SLS or SLES), mineral oil and petrolatum. They are all vegetarian, cruelty- free, gluten-free and colour-safe.

R+Co x Marr Factory

For the 10th year in a row, the Marr Factory fashion shows rocked the Golden Dawn, and this year, R+Co hair products joined the party.

To create the hairstyles for the Karen Walker, NOM*d, Zambesi, Workshop/Helen Cherry and Kate Sylvester shows, the team at Stephen Marr Hair, led by Matt Benns, used products by R+Co, a US-born super-stylist brand that will be available throughout New Zealand from October.

R+Co is the brainchild of three outstanding hairstylists – Garren, Thom Priano and Howard McLaren – and is built around the idea of creating a product range that celebrates hairdressers, and creates dialogue within the stylist community.

Each product is designed in consultation with a key stylist from the collective – the person whose signature style lends itself best to what that product needs to do.

The brand will make its debut at Stephen Marr salons from August, and will be available to salons across New Zealand exclusively through Boutique Brands from October.
